The VRi is perfect for rear-surround, rear back, and Dolby Height  channel sounds, emanating from the exact same components as its fleshier bookshelf-mounted sibling, but at the cost some deep bass, and can even be used for Atmos channels where in ceiling speakers cant be installed. Pre-fitted to the rear panel of the VRi is a four way fixing device that allows the speaker to be easily flush mounted to a wall in either portrait or landscape orientation. So if you're tight on space or just fastidious about the look of your rig, then the VRi is your friend.

Great Looks

Great Looks

In response to the demand for products designed to enhance home decor, Mercury Vi is the best looking Mercury loudspeaker range to date. The clean lines, brushed aluminium trim, subtle branding and choice of sugar maple or dark walnut finish ensure Mercury Vi speakers look as good as they sound in any home.

Rigid Braced Cabinet

Revised internal bracing on the new Mercury VRi creates a solid and compact cabinet with very low colouration. Built from wood pulp and high density fibre loaded board, each cabinet benefits from low frequency port-tuning tailored to the smaller cabinet volume for increase bass depth and slam.

Crossover w/ Differential Materials Technology

The Mercury VRi crossover features higher tolerance components, new wiring and the use of Tannoy’s bespoke Differential Material Technology™ (DMT) damping on the HF capacitors. Designed to seamlessly integrate the new tweeter with the stiff but light pulp fibre mid / bass cone, first introduced on Mercury V, the new crossover offers smoother integration and an even greater sense effects placement than its award-winning predecessor.

Silver Plated Wiring

Unheard of in a budget loudspeaker design, Tannoy’s engineers found that this high quality silver plated oxygen-free copper cable gives Mercury Vi speakers better air and space in treble detailing. The result is a more articulate and detailed sound with resolution of fine detail and micro dynamics on par with speakers costing much more.
