Covert Ultra speaker cable is designed to be as in-obtrusive as possible whilst still providing a great signal transfer which results in maximum performance from smaller speaker systems. Its neutral 'magnolia' colour make it perfect for runs where other cables may look unsightly, whilst its physical size (only 5mm wide and 2.5mm thick) make it perfect for under carpet runs to rear speakers.
Why Silver plate the copper?
The conductor carries delicate audio signals and is therefore a critical factor in good performance. Silver has a lower resistance than copper. So plating or coating copper conductors with silver reduces the overall resistance to signal flow and also prevents the copper from oxidising. This allows the conductor to perform better for longer distances. Silver plating will improve audio performance, improving clarity and detail.
