Product Condition and Grading Information

When you buy from us, we want you to know exactly what you'll be getting and the condition it will arrive in. Almost everything we sell is brand new. If it's not, it will be clearly marked as graded. Every product listing page will specify a condition based on the following classifications:

New: Item is brand new and unused. See note*

Grade 1 - Product is as new, packaging is original, but has been opened, or is significantly damaged or marked. All accessories and full warranty included. We don't provide images for these products. See description for any further details.

Grade 2 - Product may have minor cosmetic marks (not visible in photographs). It is fully functional with original warranty. Non essential accessories, such as manuals, may be missing, packaging may not be original. Warranty may not be in place. We don't provide images for these products. See description for details.

Grade 3 - Product has significant cosmetic damage (visible in photographs), or has minor functionality defects, or is missing important accessories, such as a remote control. Packaging may not be original. Warranty may not be in place. If applicable we'll show additional images for these products. See description for details.

Grade 4 - Product is partly or completely non functional or is damaged to such an extent that it is being sold for spare parts. No warranty. May have no packaging. If applicable we'll show additional images for these products. See description for details.

Grade M - Official manufacturer refurbished unit. Not inspected by AV Online. Warranty as specified. Packaging may not be original. See description for details.

Grade T - Trade in (i.e. second hand), see description for details. Warranty as specified. Packaging may not be original. See description for details.

* The presence of additional seals or tape is normal for many brands. Often manufacturers bring their products into Europe, unseal the boxes to add or swap to a UK plug, then reseal the item for UK sale. Quality control checks can also occur during distribution, and couriers may apply additional labels, write on or damage packaging or reinforce tape during delivery to us or you. Finally, if you order a smaller item (e.g. cables) with a larger one (e.g. speakers) we may secure the small item inside the packaging of the larger one for shipping.
