Denon Cocoon Home DSD-500 Speaker Dock reviews

The Denon Cocoon home has a unique minimal design on the outside but inside it's packed to the max with features. No less than four class D amplifiers drive the two Denon double layer 100mm woofers and 40mm tweeters. The DCD-500 connects to your home network either via Ethernet cable or wirelessly, this then enables you to stream music from your phone or computer and provides access to thousands of Internet Radio stations.

Your iPod/iPhone can be docked in the retractable tray and there's a USB port provided for charging other devices such as Android or Windows phones. The best part of Cocoon is being able to control it via your smartphone in a simple, intuitive manner, or access your favourite radio stations quickly at a tap of the touch-sensitive buttons which are neatly integrated into the top of the unit.

The DCD-500 is an ideal music centre for any room and it's network connectivity model means it's ideal for the modern home where more and more music is being stored on a mix of portible devices and computers. Built-in Internet radio does away with patchy reception and ugly aerial cables whilst also providing many more channels than traditional FM & DAB.
