Whilst it might be tidy to hide AV equipment away in a cupboard it leaves the issue of controlling it. The Peerless IR extender solves this by carrying remote control signals to up to 4 devices from a discrete receiver which can be placed outside of the cabinet, in the line of fire of your remote.

AV Furniture with closing panel doors gives a discrete & tidy appearance to your AV set-up. However, the doors can prevent the infra-red remote signals that control your Blu-Ray player, satellite receiver etc., operating correctly.

The Peerless Infra-Red Extender Kit allow these signals from remote controls to pass through the furniture’s doors and operate your AV equipment as usual. A Central Infra-Red Receiver acts as the remote control receiver for ALL of your under-TV AV devices.

The Receiver is connected to an Extender Box which then passes the remote control signal to each piece of AV equipment via an Infra-Red Repeater, placed either adjacent or affixed to the AV device’s IR window.

The Peerless Infra-Red Extender Kit is available in a 4-way version - allowing up to 4 AV components to be controlled). The IR Extender Box can be mounted discretely within the AV furniture with the supplied screws.

  • 4-way Infra-Red Extender Box with LED indicators showing power and remote control operation
  • 4 x screws for mounting Infra-Red Extender Box to AV furniture
  • 4 x Infra-Red Repeaters
  • 1 x Central Infra-Red Receiver
  • Sticking pads for affixing IR repeaters & receiver in front of AV components (i.e. where there is enough shelf space in front of the AV components)
  • Rubber shrouds with sticking pads for affixing IR repeaters directly on to the front faces of AV components (i.e. where there is no shelf space in front of the component)
  • Power supply - Mains AC to 5V DC
