With the YHT-S401 Yamaha have once again proved that surround sound need not intrude on your living space. The system comprises of a soundbar to be placed by your TV and a combined AV receiver / subwoofer unit. By cleverly reflecting sounds off your walls the air surround xtreme technology creates a virtual surround sound effect. Perfect to upgrade the tinny speakers found in most flatscreen TVs, the YHT-S401 is a simple and tidy solution.

The sound bar section contains 3 full-range speakers producing clear and detailed sound whilst the 100W subwoofer provides punchy bass and contains all the electronic wizardry so there's no need for a separate amplifier. Simply connect your source devices such as Sky HD, Blu-Ray or games consoles to the provided 3 HDMI inputs and then link it to your TV. Optical and Digital coaxial inputs are supplied to connect the audio output from your TV if you're using Freeview for example. There's even a USB port for MP3 players and iPods.

The soundbar itself can stand on a cabinet in front of your TV with it's height adjustable legs or be wallmounted using the keyhole fittings on the rear of the unit. The subwoofer can be placed horizontally or vertically so it will fit into just about any situation and both feature a high gloss black finish which matches the look of modern TVs beautifully.
