The I-Mego Retro Infinity headphones, with memory foam ear cups are where music meets fashion. With an iconic design, based around a classic 1950's microphone, they look striking but the all-important key point (The sound of course) is in no way compromised.
We've seen a lot of headphones, but not many come looking cooler than the timeless 1950's style of the I-Mego Retro Infinity. Featuring an extra-wide headband and memory foam earcups which really come into play on extended listening sessions, they're super-comfy and even after several hours of listening pleasure, no discomfort on the ears seep in due mainly to the cups fitting around the ears and not over them. The finish is pure style, with red cloth covering the insides peeking out through the chrome plating.
It is of course, all about the sound when it comes down to headphones. There's no point having them look cooler than Steve McQueen driving a Ford Mustang if they sound like a cat trapping its tail in a door. The test tune we used; Maps by The Yeah Yeah Yeah's sounded full and exciting. The thundering drums kicking in were as they were meant to be - spine-tinglingly awesome - so it led us to expect that the I-Mego Retro Infinity headphones are really at home with bass heavy and rockier music, though they're perfectly good with more fragile tunes.
Another great feature of these superb headphones is the premium-looking 3.5mm gold-plated jack plug is actually housed in quite a slim jacket, so it fits nicely on portable audio devices such as iPhones or iPods. Many headphones we've seen have a fairly chunky jack plug which can be a major problem with some connections. Also in the box is a 6.3mm jack adapter for use with home AV equipment.
