Yamaha's YSP-5100 Digital Sound Projector goes a step further than most sound bars by combining the AV receiver and surround sound speakers into a single stylish unit. The YSP-5100 works by having 40 separate beam drivers combined with two woofers and tweeters to deliver sound to exactly where it's needed by bouncing it off the walls. IntelliBeam automated system calibration means you'll get the best sound possible without a complex set-up procedure. There's no need to run cable for satellite speakers placed around the room, you even save shelf space because Yamaha have built the AV receiver & amplifier into the unit itself.

IntelliBeam automatically sets the sound beam angles and modes for the best surround sound, while optimising the volume and frequency responce of each beam. Your room becomes an ideal theatre space in just a few minutes.
No more sudden blasts of sound! This welcome feature maintains a consistent volume level between different channels, programmes, commercials and input sources. You switch it on and off.
You can use your YSP-5100 with an iPod without having to connect any cables. The AirWired link transmits uncompressed data so there is no loss of signal data, ensuring maximum sound quality.
When the YSP-5100 are connected to a CEC-compatible TV, it will turn on and off together with the TV and you can use the TV remote unit to control the volume. CEC also provides advanced functionality with other components.
CINEMA DSP creates complex sound fields based on acoustic patterns developed from a vast database of actual venues and input from film sound technicians, making you feel as though you are inside the scene you are watching.
When music is encoded into a digitally compressed format like MP3, the frequency response suffers. This function restores what was lost, so your music always sounds the way it should.
