The Q Acoustic 2000 loudspeakers really are truly astonishing. The tweeter, bass/midrange drivers, magnets, cone mass, cone rigidity, cone materials, crossovers, terminal panel and fully braced cabinets are all designed with the sole purpose of creating the very best performing, lowest distortion, affordable loudspeakers available.
2000 Series - A Closer Look
New Cabinet
Laser spectrometry has been used to identify and then minimise cabinet resonances by the careful use of multi-thickness panels, internal bracing and damping materials. The particularly sweet high frequency response, obvious in all models, is substantially improved by the introduction of double layered top panels to every cabinet.
Striking New Finishes
The appearance of the new 2000 series makes a striking design statement. All the cabinet dimensions have changed, so each speaker appears to present a slimmer and deeper profile. As well as the traditional Graphite and Walnut finishes, at a small extra cost, these new models are also available in Piano Gloss Black and Piano Gloss White.
Rear Ported
To reduce colouration the 2000 cabinets are rear ported.'Port Bungs' are provided, to optimise bass response when the speakers are positioned very close to the wall
Less Distortion
Each Model boasts the same excellent low distortion, ferro-fluid cooled tweeter.It is totally decoupled from the front baffle to avoid cabinet resonance and its advanced, 25mm, micro polyester weave dome is ventilated both on the surround and on the dome itself. This reduces distortion by helping the tweeter maintain mechanical integrity by reducing the temperature range.
Improved Materials
The cone material of the new bass/midrange drivers is a paper/micra mixture which was found , after extensive testing, to be the optimum material. Its near perfect balance of stiffness and damping delivers ultra low distortion in parallel with an outstanding transient response and 
astonishing dynamics.
Cable Management
Integral cable management within the rear column keeps your installation neat and tidy. To further enhance visual impact, all speaker terminals are mounted on a recessed plate on the bottom of each speaker (excluding the 2070S). Not only does this look far better but it also enables the speakers to be placed much closer to the wall without terminals or cables obstructing.
This home cinema pack consists of 4 x 2010 bookshelf speakers to give left, right and rear channels, a 2000C centre channel and 2070S subwoofer. All are available in a choice of 4 finishes that will ensure suitability to any home decor.
