iGrado, a compact headphone for portable applications that retains the legendary sound that is pure Grado, warm harmonic colour, full-bodied vocals, excellent dynamics, rich bass and an ultra-smooth top end. Available in two colours Black or White.
"Grado Labs is pleased to announce the introduction of our newest product, the “iGrado” street style headphone. Designed specifically for the portable electronics market, it was our goal to design a street style headphone that will sonically outperform anything currently available in the low-end portable market. This we have accomplished. The new "iGrado" is functionally stylish, lightweight and comfortable.
By incorporating the same drivers used in our highly regarded SR60 headphones, we can proudly state that we are indeed "the high end choice in the low end market." Available in either black or white colors that are sure to please all. The “iGrado” features a behind the neck headband that is comfortable and stylish. We have indeed kept the highly praised Grado "sound" at a price point that is within reach of all. Truly, Musical Reality For The iWorld!"
What Hi-Fi September 2011
"We've admired the iGrados for some time, They've proved consistently tough to beat and always punched well above their price. But recently they've undergone somewhat of a minor tweak. Nothing has changed with the drivers - there's just a new cable. But we all know what a difference a cable can make in the world of hi-fi........
Thankfully this tweak has actually improved matters. The iGrados already produced a wonderfully detailed sound with great depth and cohesion, but this new cable allows more authoritative, substantial bass and a greater sense of refinement to come through. Some would say that they sound like new headphones.
The only thing to bear in mind is that, because they're open back on ears, they do leak an awful lot of sound. Also some folk might not find the neckband design quite as comfortable as other options are."
Verdict
"Hi-fi sound from budget on-ears is no mean feat. The iGrados are top of their game"
