New Yamaha AV Receiver Lineup For 2012 (11/05/12)
Yamaha's exciting new 2012 range of AV Receivers, the RX-V 73 models, are possibly their strongest yet. To take the pretty healthy RX-V 71 range, which was already loaded with features and performance and cram even more into them was some challenge, which we think Yamaha have passed with flying colours. Don't be surprised to see these win numerous awards, particularly the awesome RX-V473 and the sure-to-be-popular RX-V673.
Among the eyebrow-raising new additions to the RX-V 73 series is the inclusion of Apple Airplay functionality from the RX-V473 model upwards. As Apple go from strength to strength and more and more people use their products for their main source of media then the need for your home AV and stereo equipment to comply. Now you can stream all your music from iTunes, your iPod, iPad or iPhone straight through your system with one quick prod of an icon!
The other new features which will really lift Yamaha above the competition are the Subwoofer Trim and Dialogue Lift to fine tune that audio reproduction. Dialogue Lift is an impressive custom control over the vocal sound, even raising the apparent sound from dialogue into the centre of the screen. Yamaha's fancy dan antics don't end there either. With Subwoofer Trim, the subwoofer's low-frequences avoid overlapping your front speakers. This clean separation keeps the front stage stable while maintaining a super-balanced enhanced bass sound. Dialogue lift is only available on the RX-V671 and above.
